Drivingschool in Amsterdam

    • Can I also get driving lessons during the weekends and in the evenings?
You can get driving lessons at Amsterdamse VerkeersOpleidingen, both during the day and in the evenings and during the weekends. You schedule the lessons in consultation with your instructor.
    • How can I save money on my driving lessons?

The best cost saving is usually not to choose the cheapest driving school, but opt for a good driving school, make optimum use of your class time and prepare your driving lessons properly. Ask your driving instructor what the next driving lesson will be treated and read that part in your practice book. This way you get much more return from your driving lessons so that you ultimately save valuable class time and therefore have money left over.

    • Will I get my money back if I have not completed my package?
If you buy a package and you have driving lessons after you finished training that you have not used, you will receive a refund within a week to the bank account you have specified. This will also happen if you decide to quite the training with Amsterdamse VerkeersOpleidingen.
    • How many lessons are needed to pass my driving exam?

Most students estimate the number of driving lessons required in advance too low. Driving schools know this and are responding to this with attractive offers of a complete training in 25 hours of driving. Unfortunately, such an offer is only real for the very fast learning student. The average number of hours needed is around 40 hours. During your trial lesson we make an estimation of how many lessons you will need and prepare a package for you.

    • Do you use an instruction card?

Your progress will be kept by your instructor at Amsterdamse VerkeersOpleidingen on an instruction card. You can consult this “progress card” with your instructor. This way you can see exactly how far you have progressed, what the next lesson will be about and what you have to work on.

That means: mentally and physically able to drive and drive in a car. For example, do you have a problem with your health or disability? Do you use medication that affects your driving or do you have an alcohol problem? Then you may not be on the road. In order to assess your fitness to drive, the CBR asks you a number of questions about your health. These questions are on the Own Declaration. Do not postpone your theory exam for too long! If you are not sufficiently familiar with the theory, you start driving more uncertainly. For example if you do not know exactly how fast you are allowed to drive or do not recognize a priority situation correctly. Even if you have passed your theory exam, take your theory book again to prepare your driving lessons or to read how the rules are in a traffic situation that did not go well during your driving lessons. Your theory certificate will remain valid for a year and a half.

    • How do I register for the CBR theory exam?

You can make a reservation for the theory exam on www.cbr.nl. The driving school can also arrange it for you. The drivingschool will charge extra costs.
