As a director, you are responsible for your own safety and the safety of others around you. In order to drive, you must be legally 'fit to drive'. This means: mentally and physically able to drive a car. For example, do you have a problem with your health or a disability? Are you taking medication that affects your driving behaviour or do you have an alcohol problem? Then you are not always allowed on the road. In order to assess your fitness to drive, the CBR will ask you a number of questions about your health. These questions can be found on the self-declaration. With a filled in Personal Statement you indicate that you are fit to drive. The Personal Statement is required to be eligible for a driver's license.
